A technical 3-day ascent of Aguja de la S (2,335m), one of the satellite spires of the Fitz Roy range, designed as a first alpine climbing experience in Patagonia for those who already have multi-pitch experience.

Day by day

Day 1

Approach from Río Eléctrico towards Laguna Sucia, then up the slope towards the Piedras Blancas glacier. Night in a tent at the Cueva de los Suizos.

Day 2

Pre-dawn start, glacier with crampons and rope to the base of the wall. Five pitches of climbing, then easy ground and a final pitch to the 2,335 m summit; rappel descent by the same route and back to the cave.

Day 3

Return to El Chaltén.
